More about the transfer Process

The transfer will be carried out by way of a Spanish portfolio transfer in accordance with Article 100 of Spanish Royal Decree 1060/2015. Generali Spain is a Spanish company, the transfer requires authorisation by the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business.

The transfer will become effective upon execution of a public deed before a Spanish notary formalising the transfer. This will take place on the transfer date.

On the transfer date your policy (and any outstanding claim) will automatically transfer to Zurich Ireland.

As part of the Spanish portfolio transfer process, the Spanish Regulator is engaging with the CBI and the German Regulator.

If the transfer date is expected to change, an update will be provided on this FAQ webpage.

If the Spanish Regulator approves the transfer, it will become effective upon the transfer being formally notarised in Spain.  This will take place on the transfer date.

We will publish a notification, here, at the top of this FAQ webpage, once the transfer has become effective.

Zurich Ireland also plans to communicate with customers directly shortly after the transfer completes.

As Generali Spain is a Spanish company, the transfer of your policy requires the authorisation of the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business.  As part of that process, the Spanish Regulator is engaging with the CBI and the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht) (the “German Regulator”). We are also engaging with you to keep you informed and to give you the opportunity to ask any questions or raise any concerns you may have.

If the Spanish Regulator does not approve the transfer, it will not become effective, your policy will not transfer to Zurich Ireland and will remain with RedClick.
